What a day... And it is just getting started!

I have spent the day learning... Youtube and Google Search have helped me out so much today. Just put in what you are looking for and out pops the answer. Nothing better than that when you are looking for answers to send you in the right direction and actually make you feel like you have accomplished something.

This morning I was sent a video by Mike Dillard, network marketing guru, that was a follow-up from a couple of days ago regarding "information overload" or feeling overwhelmed with the vast streams of knowledge that one can fill their head with while researching and trying to get started, or trying to succeed, in the Internet marketing field. In the video he broke down the three basic steps that we are trying to achieve by working with the Internet: 1. Build a List, 2. Build a relationship with those that join or are on that list, and 3. Educate/Teach/Assist those on that list with anything that they are struggling with or need help with. Stick to those three things every day and there will be nothing but growth in all of your endevors. What powerful words! What POWERFUL values those three simple things are!!!

I would also like to endorse the simple training that he offered us that is invaluable with any business that is run. That is setting and attaining daily goals/tasks before you spend your time trying to figure out the latest and greatest new concept. Speaking from my experience, writing down the tasks that need to be accomplished and accomplishing those things first opens up your time for whatever might come about during the day. If we have the necessities out of the way, when the problems arise, which they invariably do, we can tackle what is front of us and not feel the stress that those things bring along.

This same goal setting is invaluable in all that we do. We need to have a purpose everyday, we need to focus on accomplishing something positive everyday and we need to make sure that we are being productive in our activities to assure the best use of our valuable time. So many complaints are made about not having enough time, never being able to accomplish all that we want to accomplish. We just need to change our focus a little. Life and business are a marathon not a sprint. Yes, what happens today will alter the outcome of tomorrow, but if we have success a little bit every day then over time we will be greatly successful.

I am new to marketing of any kind, but have been fortunate to have a position of management in a company that has been in business for over 50 years. We, speaking of the company that I work for, is fortunate that we have our niche and have been able to whether the down turn in the economy the last few years, but we have done that by using everything that has been put before us as a learning experience, we take pride in utilizing our experience to offer a good product to our customer. Without the everyday focus of maintaining our good product we become just like the rest, which are many(just like in marketing). I am going to use the experience that I gleen from these things to help teach and expand the knowledge of those that I am in business with and allow us together to leverage our time, which is the greatest freedom that we are searching for, that twenty-fifth hour.

Welcome to my ride... Here's where it begins!

The definition of "T.U.F." is where I start, just so we have that out of the way. An acronym that stands for "Totally Under Financed", that came from my father some 30+ years ago.

My father has been an amateur racing enthusiast most of my life. At one point he owned his own car, some 30+ years ago, that he found out to be too expensive. Together with a friend, they built a 1970's model Datsun 510 and started racing it at venues around California. On that car, they described their racing team as, "TUF Racing." As a youngster it wasn't something that I paid much attention to. I knew that dad was "TUF" and that is how I thought it was spelled, so the name fit.

Many years passed, many cars were been built and sold since that original Datsun. Many stories can be told about the times that were had, but most of all the moniker "TUF Racing," stuck. Not until I was in high school, 16-17 years after original moniker was coined, did I know the true meaning of this acronym. After all the hardships, time, and effort put into the maintaining and racing of these cars never was discussed the funding aspect of these "toys." That is because it was just always there and it always seemed to get done, hard work and determination lead to great things. Being tough, not "TUF," payed off over time.

"TUF," or "Totally Under Financed," is the story of my life, but not in the sense that we didn't have the means to take care of the necessities. It hasn't been that we can't do this or we can't do that because we can't afford it. It was just put out there if we wanted something we had to find a way to make it happen, and work towards the desired goal. My parents taught me how to do the things necessary to get the job done, make the most out the situation and find the solutions, not the problems.

This puts me to were we are today... Six months ago a couple of friends of mine introduced me to a Network Marketing opportunity. Research of that opportunity has led me down another path. Using the Internet to market, defining what marketing a product actually means, and learning how to be a person that can go out and promote a product for the masses and make a difference to those that are made contact with. I understand the concept, and am driven by the process. I am learning as I go and am going to make a difference. With this BLOG, I am going to be personal, share my experience and offer value in the content that I share. I know that I have a higher purpose and am driven by that purpose. I know that we all have a higher purpose and need to bring out that purpose and make a difference to everyone that has a desire to have and be more.

"TUF," can describe many things. But it can't be used as an excuse... We are all going to struggle in all that we do. We have to start somewhere. I know that I was afforded the experience that I have and will have because of the direction that I have been given in life. We need to be "TUF" and make the action to make a difference. It is a hard road to follow, but one that will lead to great things if taken the right path...

My name is Jason... I am married to Jackie, together we have six children... (17,14,12,8,6,4) For them I dedicate my efforts and time to make a difference and be a difference. This is the beginning of my story, and together with those that read it the beginning of a journey that will take us to many great places...
